Tuscany is a remarkable region of unspoilt beauty, where historic towns and cities are set amidst rolling hills.
Where you will be staying
Hotel Ercolini and Savi, Montecatini Terme
The hotel has lifts, two restaurants, a bar and lounge. En suite bedrooms have a hairdryer, cable TV, mini-bar and telephone.
What you will be doing
Day 1 Travel to Dover/Folkestone for the early afternoon ferry/shuttle crossing to Calais. Continue to the overnight accommodation.
Day 2 Travelling through Switzerland into Italy and our overnight hotel.
Day 3 We continue the journey to our hotel in Montecatini Terme to be greeted with a welcome drink followed by dinner.
Day 4 A day at leisure in the resort. Montecatini Terme is a busy town with many charming shops and little cafes.
Day 5 We travel through the Tuscan countryside to Siena. The most famous landmark is Piazza del Campo.
Day 6 Today we visit Lucca and Pisa. Lucca is home of Puccini. We continue to Pisa to view one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the leaning tower.
Day 7 A day in Florence. Discover the Ponte Vecchio Bridge, enter the Piazza del Duomo and visit the Cathedral of Florence and the Baptistery.
Day 8 A day at leisure in Montecatini.
Day 9 Depart Montecatini travelling to our overnight accommodation.
Day 10 Enjoy the scenery as we travel over the Simplon Pass into Switzerland to our last overnight accommodation.
LAST DAY Travel to Calais for the afternoon ferry/shuttle crossing and complete the journey home.
