Where you will be staying
Pohl's Rheinhotel Adler, St Goarshausen
We stay at the family run Pohl's Rheinhotel Adler which is situated on the riverside. The hotel has a restaurant, garden and indoor swimming pool. All rooms are en suite with a TV and telephone.
What you will be doing
Day 1 A morning departure to Dover and Calais and then France and Belgium and on to St Goarshausen for a late arrival. There is no dinner provided on the first evening.
Days 2 - 4 At leisure with two included and one optional excursions.
Included excursions
To the riverside town of Königswinter. A small cog railway runs up from the village to the famous Drachenfels ruin perched above the Rhine and offering superb views. There is an opportunity to take an optional ride on the railway.
An excursion through the Hunsruck Mountains to Boppard. We then continue to Koblenz. You will have the chance to take an optional cruise along the Rhine to Boppard. You will also have the opportunity to sample local wines at an optional Wine Tasting.
Optional excursions
A River Cruise to Rüdesheim. View this land of legends, riverside wine villages and hilltop castles from the deck of a Rhine cruiser passing through the Rhine Gorge and the infamous Loreley. We cruise to Rüdesheim.
LAST DAY We depart for Calais and Dover, arriving home during the evening.
