The magic of a traditional German Christmas Market, with an enchanting festive atmosphere will make high street shopping seem dull.
Where you will be staying
Pohl's Rheinhotel Adler, St Goarshausen
It is situated on the riverside. Hotel facilities include a restaurant, rooftop terrace, garden and indoor swimming pool. All bedrooms are en suite with a TV and telephone.
What you will be doing
Day 1 Morning departure to Dover and Calais. We continue through France, Belgium and into Germany to St Goarshausen.
Days 2 - 3 At leisure in St Goarshausen with one included excursion and one optional excursion.
A full day included excursion to Rüdesheim where you will have ample time to explore the shops, the Christmas Market and all the town has to offer that gives it a very distinctive atmosphere. The Christmas Market of the Nations adds an international flavour to the festive season in Rüdesheim am Rhein.
A full day optional excursion through the Ahr Valley to the picturesque town of Ahrweiler, with time to visit the Christmas Market, do some wine tasting (optional), and the opportunity of a Rhine river cruise (optional) to the village of Königswinter. Here you can see the famous Drachenfels ruin (Dragons Rock).
LAST DAY We depart for Calais and our ferry crossing to Dover, arriving home during the evening.
