Where you will be staying
Hotel Milan Speranza au Lac, Stresa
All modern and comfortable en suite bedrooms have a hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning. The hotel has restaurant, bar, lounge and lift to all floors.
What you will be doing
Day 1 Travel to Dover/Folkestone for the early afternoon ferry/shuttle crossing to Calais. Continue to the overnight accommodation.
Day 2 Enjoy the stunning scenery as we complete the journey through Switzerland into Italy arriving in Stresa.
Day 3 At leisure in Stresa.
Day 4 We travel via Ascona to the fashionable Swiss resort of Lugano which is one of the most alluring of TicIno's lake resorts.
Day 5 Today we travel to Lake Como. Climb the hill behind it and go to the top of Barodello Tower for a lovely view of the entire lake.
Day 6 Today we enjoy a leisurely excursion to Lake Orta, one of the smallest of Northern Italy's Alpine lakes.
Day 7 Sadly we leave Stresa and travel over the Simplon Pass into Switzerland and continue to our overnight accommodation.
LAST DAY Travel to Calais for the afternoon ferry/shuttle crossing and complete the journey home.
